Are you afraid Of negativity?

I like to present myself as a positive person, but since we live in a dual universe, half the time what I’m presenting is actually a lie. Womp.

You see, the gripe I have with the idea of mere love and light psychology is that sometimes it demonizes any and all forms of negativity, as if negativity no purpose.

Don’t misunderstand me here, I’m not saying we should all just be grumpy scrooges or evil mofos.

All I’m saying is that negativity itself is not the enemy, the true enemy is ignorance as to how to use fear, or any other emotion for that matter, as fuel.

One night I had a dream that someone was plotting to kill me. When I woke up I felt crazy, and I immediately connected the dream to something I was dealing with in waking life: fear of rejection.

You see, the one person you can’t get away from, no matter how hard you try, is yourself. The truth is that all of us have the possibility to fear, love, hate, seek revenge, etc. We can access all ranges of emotion.

But when we disown the darker parts of ourselves, they don’t just disappear. We can pretend we are always happy, but if we are faking it, life will keep showing us we need to face the unhappiness and change it into something else.

Shove enough garbage in a closet, and it will eventually overflow. If you take it to a landfill or recycling center, it has a chance to be renewed and reused. Ignoring it doesn’t help longterm, you have to do something with it.

Its like in The Vampire’s way to psychic self defense, energy is energy. whether positive or negative, it can be used.

Running away from negativity will not keep it from existing. But if we can harness negativity and mold it into something better, that would be dope right?

What do you think?
